Armed groups opened fire on internal security posts and homes on Friday in the Mazraa area of western Suwayda province in southern Syria, Alikhbariah TV reported.
Casualties and damage unclear
The broadcaster described the attackers as “outlaws” and said there was no immediate information about casualties or the extent of the damage.
Syria’s Interior Ministry had not issued a statement on the incident at the time of the report.
Earlier attack in Suwayda countryside
The latest attacks came about a month after four security personnel were injured on Aug. 31 while responding to attacks in the western Suwayda countryside. Authorities said those attacks were carried out by “outlaw groups”.
