The Ghazanchetsots Cathedral, located in the city of Shusha, has been fully restored to its original architectural appearance. The restoration project aimed to preserve the historical integrity of the monument, ensuring it reflects its authentic design and heritage.

According to Operative Information Center-OMM, Hikmet Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan and Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration, announced the completion of the works on his social media account. "The church has been restored in accordance with its original architectural style. All legal buildings, as well as historical, cultural, and religious monuments on the territory of Azerbaijan, are protected, preserved, and restored in accordance with national legislation," Hajiyev stated.

Shusha, officially declared the cultural capital of Azerbaijan, is home to numerous historical and religious sites that have undergone extensive renovation since the city's liberation in 2020. The restoration of the Ghazanchetsots Cathedral is part of a broader state-led initiative to rehabilitate the cultural and religious landscape of the Garabagh region.
