The historical ties between the peoples of Georgia and Azerbaijan have evolved into a robust strategic partnership, reflecting centuries of close cooperation and mutual respect. This statement was made by Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze during a joint press conference with President Ilham Aliyev in Baku.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the Prime Minister expressed his satisfaction with the current state of bilateral relations. "I am glad that this cooperation is participating very dynamically in various directions," Prime Minister Kobakhidze emphasized, underlining the importance of maintaining the momentum in diplomatic and economic exchanges between the two neighboring nations.

The relationship between Azerbaijan and Georgia serves as a cornerstone for regional stability and economic integration in the South Caucasus. Both nations are key participants in large-scale international energy and transport projects, including the Southern Gas Corridor and the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway. These initiatives not only strengthen the strategic bond between Baku and Tbilisi but also play a critical role in ensuring the energy security of Europe and enhancing connectivity between East and West.
