Garabagh FK has officially strengthened its squad with the signing of a new international player.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the Aghdam representative has completed the transfer of French footballer Jeremy Gnally, who previously played for Cyprus-based AEK Larnaca.
The left-back has signed a two-and-a-half-year contract with the Azerbaijani champions. A product of the French club Metz's youth academy, the 23-year-old defender will wear the number 24 jersey for Garabagh. Throughout his professional career, Gnally has also featured for Metz B, as well as Spanish sides Tarazona and Melilla. Since joining AEK Larnaca in August 2024, he made a significant impact, recording 7 assists in 60 appearances for the Cypriot team.
Garabagh FK, based in Baku due to the historical occupation of Aghdam, is Azerbaijan's most successful football club in the modern era. The club regularly represents Azerbaijan in the group stages of UEFA competitions, including the Europa League and Champions League. This latest acquisition is part of the club's strategy to bolster its defensive line as it continues to compete for domestic titles and progress in European tournaments.
