Galatasaray plans to contact UEFA ahead of its Champions League league-phase match against Lille in France. According to the Dogan news agency, the match will be played on October 21 at Decathlon Arena – Stade Pierre-Mauroy in France.

The Istanbul club intends to submit a formal request to UEFA to ensure the safety of its traveling delegation and fans. The decision is reportedly linked to recent protests in France.

Galatasaray is in contact with the French Embassy and Türkiye’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The match venue is not expected to change; the club is seeking stronger security measures.

Similar measures are also expected for the match between Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona.
