Gabala have strengthened their squad by signing Albanian midfielder Endri Çekiçi on a contract running until the end of the 2026-27 season.
The 29-year-old attacking midfielder has played for clubs in several countries during his career, including Dinamo Zagreb, Olimpija Ljubljana, Ankaragücü, Konyaspor, Pendikspor and Adanaspor.
Çekiçi’s most recent club was Iraq’s Zakho. He will continue his career in Azerbaijan after leaving the team.
A member of the Albania national team, the midfielder has made 11 appearances and scored one goal for his country. He plays in an attacking midfield role.
