Fransada isti hava dalğası - 53 bölgədə narıncı xəbərdarlıq verildi

A severe heatwave currently sweeping across France has prompted authorities to issue orange weather alerts in 53 regions of the country.

Operative Information Center-OMM reports, citing international media, that the nation is bracing for extreme conditions.

Meteorological forecasts indicate that record-breaking temperatures are expected between June 21 and June 23. With more than half of the country under an orange alert, officials have urged the public to exercise extreme caution and follow safety guidelines to mitigate health risks associated with the heat.

According to local media reports, the intense heat has forced the cancellation of several planned music festivals in the Seine-et-Marne, Gironde, Sarthe, and Charente-Maritime regions.

Furthermore, academic institutions have been impacted, with some university examinations in the city of Poitiers being postponed to ensure student safety. In response to the crisis, the French Ministry of Internal Affairs has established a toll-free information hotline to provide citizens with guidance and support during the heatwave.

Heatwaves in Europe have become increasingly frequent and intense in recent years, a trend climate scientists attribute to global climate change. These extreme weather events often strain public infrastructure and healthcare systems, necessitating proactive government measures such as the deployment of cooling centers and public awareness campaigns to protect vulnerable populations, particularly the elderly and children.
