On August 26, the inauguration of the Bilgah School of Arts took place in Baku.
According to the "Operative Information Center-OMM", First Vice President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Mehriban Aliyeva, along with Arzu Aliyeva, attended the opening ceremony.
Minister of Culture Adil Karimli provided detailed information regarding the construction and renovation works carried out at the arts school.
It was noted that the Bilgah School of Arts was established through the optimization of the Bilgah Settlement House of Culture, Children's Music School No. 27, and Library Branch No. 10 of the Sabunchu District Centralized Library System.
The Heydar Aliyev Foundation initiated the construction of the new 220-seat facility after the original administrative building of the Bilgah Settlement House of Culture, constructed in 1987, had fallen into disrepair and become unusable over time.
The newly constructed educational institution is fully equipped with modern furniture, technical equipment, and essential teaching aids. The facility features specialized rooms for music, theory, choir, photography, painting, sculpture, and design, as well as choreography halls, an assembly hall, a library, a wardrobe, and a cafeteria. Extensive landscaping and greening work have also been completed in the surrounding area.
The Heydar Aliyev Foundation, led by First Vice President Mehriban Aliyeva, frequently implements large-scale social and cultural projects across Azerbaijan. These initiatives play a crucial role in modernizing educational infrastructure, preserving cultural heritage, and ensuring that youth in various districts have access to high-quality creative and educational environments.
