A fire broke out at a car dealership located on Babek Avenue in Baku, according to the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
The Operative Information Center-OMM reported that the Ministry's "112" hotline received an alert regarding a fire at a facility situated in the Khatai district on Babek Avenue.
Upon receiving the report, units from the State Fire Protection Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations were immediately dispatched to the scene. Upon arrival, firefighters assessed the operational situation and determined that the fire had originated in a three-story building operating as a car dealership, covering a total area of 1,200 square meters, with a high risk of rapid spread.
Thanks to the swift intervention of the firefighting crews, the blaze, which started in an office room, was extinguished in a short period, preventing it from spreading to other parts of the building or to the vehicles parked inside. As a result of the incident, combustible structures in a 15-square-meter office room were destroyed, and the rear bumper and light of a BMW passenger car were deformed due to the heat. The majority of the facility and the vehicles stored within were successfully protected from the fire.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations of Azerbaijan regularly conducts such operations to ensure public safety in the capital. The State Fire Protection Service remains a critical component of the country's emergency response infrastructure, tasked with safeguarding both residential and commercial properties against fire hazards.
