The Ministry of Finance will now be represented on the supervisory boards of the "Azersilah" Defense Industry Holding, under the Ministry of Defense Industry, and "Azerkhalcha" OJSC.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that President Ilham Aliyev has signed a decree to formalize this administrative change.
Under the terms of the presidential decree, the Cabinet of Ministers has been instructed to implement the necessary measures to integrate these representatives and report back to the President within one month.
This decision is part of the broader efforts by the Republic of Azerbaijan to enhance financial oversight and corporate governance within state-owned enterprises. By including the Ministry of Finance in the supervisory boards of key entities like the Azersilah Defense Industry Holding and the national carpet-weaving organization Azerkhalcha, the government aims to ensure greater transparency, fiscal discipline, and strategic alignment with national economic policies.
