A total of 28 national teams have officially secured their spots in the knockout stage of the FIFA World Cup 2026, which is currently being co-hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, citing FIFA's official website, the teams that have earned the right to compete in the Round of 32 include Mexico, South Africa, Switzerland, Canada, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brazil, Morocco, the United States, Australia, Paraguay, Germany, Ivory Coast, Ecuador, the Netherlands, Japan, Sweden, Belgium, Egypt, Spain, Cape Verde, France, Norway, Senegal, Argentina, Colombia, Portugal, England, and Ghana.

The 2026 FIFA World Cup represents a historic milestone as the first tournament to feature an expanded format of 48 teams, up from the previous 32-team structure. This expansion aims to increase global participation and inclusivity in football's premier event. The tournament is scheduled to conclude on July 19, with the final match determining the new world champion.
