LANDAU Lions head coach Erhan Toker has shared his thoughts ahead of the team’s FIBA Europe Cup game against Slovakia’s Prievidza. The Turkish coach spoke about preparations for the away fixture and the players’ condition.
Toker said the team set off after its game against NTD and travelled for about 12 hours to reach Prievidza. Although the players were tired, they had time to rest before the main training session.
The head coach said center Arnas Sakenis tested himself in the team’s latest training session, and it would be clear at game time whether he could play. Toker said the team would aim to perform better away from home than it did against Geneva.
“We need to get used to the pace of these group-stage games. If we have enough energy during the match, we can put in a good performance. First of all, if we can play aggressively, we will also be good on offense,” the coach said.
LANDAU Lions beat NTD 102-68 in their most recent game.
