An earthquake has occurred in the Caspian Sea during the early hours of the morning.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the Republican Seismic Survey Center of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences released data regarding the underground tremors. According to the center, the 3.3-magnitude earthquake was recorded at 02:17 local time at a depth of 12 kilometers.
The Caspian Sea region is known for its seismic activity due to its location at the intersection of several tectonic plates.
