A driver operating a vehicle under the influence of drugs has been detained.
“Operative Information Center-OMM” reports that the Main State Traffic Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs provided the information.
According to the report, Baku resident Bakhtiyar Aghayev was stopped by traffic police after making dangerous maneuvers in a Lada and committing serious traffic violations.
After the driver refused to provide his documents and his behavior raised suspicions, he was asked to undergo a medical examination. The examination found that Aghayev was under the influence of drugs.
A court ordered Aghayev to serve 20 days of administrative arrest.
The Main State Traffic Police Department again urged people who put lives at risk by driving under the influence of drugs to stop their unlawful conduct, adding that it would continue to take the toughest measures against such cases.
