Defense Minister Zakir Hasanov, currently on an official visit to Georgia, has inspected several military facilities as part of his itinerary. The visit underscores the ongoing strategic partnership and defense cooperation between the two neighboring nations.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, which cited information from the Ministry of Defense, the visit was conducted in coordination with Georgian counterparts.
In accordance with the visit program, Defense Minister Zakir Hasanov, accompanied by Georgian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Irakli Chikovani and Commander of the Defense Forces Major General Giorgi Matiashvili, visited the Special Operations Command base named after Major Gela Chedia in Mukhrovani. Following a detailed briefing on the military base's operations, the Azerbaijani delegation toured the facilities and inspected the weaponry and equipment utilized by the special forces.
Azerbaijan and Georgia maintain a robust defense partnership, characterized by regular high-level visits and joint military exercises.
