A dedicated bus lane has been introduced on Shixali Gurbanov Street in Baku to ensure convenient, uninterrupted and timely passenger transport by bus amid increased demand linked to the project to separate metro lines.
The information was provided to the Operative Information Center-OMM by the Azerbaijan Land Transport Agency (AYNA) under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport.
According to the information, the new lane has been connected to the existing bus lanes on Fuzuli and Zivarbay Ahmadbayov streets. The project is intended particularly to reduce intervals between express buses and improve the efficiency of passenger transportation.
Dedicated bus lanes are designed to give public transport priority on busy urban roads, helping buses maintain more predictable travel times. Drivers should take the new traffic arrangement into account and follow road signs and lane markings in the area.
