Nepalda daşqın nəticəsində ölənlərin sayı 734-ə çatıb

The death toll from the devastating floods that struck northern regions of Nepal has risen to 734, according to official reports.

The Operative Information Center-OMM, citing international media sources, reported that the figures were confirmed by the country's National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority.

Authorities have successfully evacuated 8,186 individuals from the disaster zone, including 227 foreign citizens. However, the fate of approximately 2,500 people remains unknown, with 588 foreign nationals among those currently reported missing.

Nepal, a landlocked nation in the Himalayas, is highly susceptible to natural disasters, particularly during the monsoon season. The country's rugged topography and complex river systems often lead to severe flooding and landslides, which frequently cause significant infrastructure damage and loss of life. International aid organizations and local emergency services are currently coordinating large-scale search and rescue efforts to locate the missing persons amidst challenging terrain.
