Cucurella says he would vote for himself for Ballon d’Or

Spain defender Marc Cucurella has shared his thoughts on the nominees ahead of the Ballon d’Or ceremony, saying he would vote for himself if he took part in the vote.

“If I had to vote, I would vote for myself. All the nominees are my teammates. Let the player fate has chosen to win take the award. I leave the decision to the voters,” Cucurella told Marca.

The Spanish footballer added that his teammates might give him a small gift. According to Cucurella, his teammates are the people who will decide the outcome of the award.

The Ballon d’Or ceremony will be held in London on October 26.
