President of the Republic of Cuba Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez has sent a congratulatory letter to President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev on the occasion of the country's national holiday.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the letter reads:
"Your Excellency Mr. President, I convey my most sincere congratulations to you and the friendly people of Azerbaijan on the occasion of your country's national holiday. I reaffirm our determination to continue our activities to further strengthen relations between the two countries. I express my highest respect and esteem to you."
Diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and Cuba were established in 1992. The two nations maintain active cooperation within various international organizations, including the United Nations and the Non-Aligned Movement, focusing on bilateral ties in healthcare, education, and tourism.
