Carlos Cuesta leaves Parma coaching position

Parma has announced that Carlos Cuesta has stepped down as head coach. The parties decided to end their cooperation by mutual agreement and terminated the contract.

The 31-year-old coach had been in charge of Parma since the summer of 2025. The team finished 13th in the Italian championship last season.

This season, Parma sit 15th with four points after five rounds. The team’s only victory came in a 2-1 win over Genoa before the break for international matches.

The club said in an official statement that the necessary conditions were no longer in place to continue a professional relationship between the parties, particularly regarding the development of the sporting project.

Cuesta’s departure comes early in the season, as Parma seek to improve their position in the Italian league. The club’s next appointment will determine how it responds to its difficult start and works to regain momentum in the coming rounds.
