Tensions have risen at Borussia Dortmund ahead of its Champions League third-round match against Sabah. Bild reports that the German club’s failure to win its last three games has caused frustration among club officials and players.
Dortmund drew 2-2 with Werder Bremen, then lost 0-1 to Bodo/Glimt. The team also played out a goalless draw with Union Berlin. Its failure to score in the last two matches has caused particular concern at the club.
Sports director Ole Book has made no secret of his disappointment with the team’s results. Goalkeeper Gregor Kobel has also openly acknowledged the problems in attack.
Borussia are expected to take to the field against Sabah fully focused. Dropping points in Baku could heighten tensions at the club and turn a run of poor results into a crisis for the season.
