The body of the last of four young men who drowned at the Mardakan beach in Baku's Khazar district on June 22 has been recovered.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the remains of Parviz Zohrab oglu Majidov, born in 2003, were discovered along the coastline of Buzovna settlement. The body has been handed over to the relevant authorities for further examination.
This recovery marks the conclusion of an intensive search and rescue operation that began after the tragic incident on June 22, when four individuals lost their lives while swimming. Such incidents highlight the ongoing safety challenges at non-designated swimming areas along the Caspian Sea coast in Azerbaijan. The Ministry of Emergency Situations frequently urges citizens to adhere to safety regulations and swim only in authorized areas to prevent similar tragedies.
