Azerbaijan’s accession to the Consultative Meetings of the Heads of State of Central Asia (C5+1) format opens up broader prospects for cooperation with partners in Asia and Europe.
“Operative Information Center-OMM” reports that Turkmenistan President Serdar Berdimuhamedov made the remarks at the opening of the 8th Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia and Azerbaijan in Avaza.
Berdymukhamedov described Azerbaijan’s accession to the format as one of its most important outcomes, including in terms of economic prospects.
He also highlighted the growing importance of Central Asia and Azerbaijan in regional and global processes:
“The role of Central Asia and Azerbaijan in regional and global processes is steadily increasing, as they develop into major logistics and energy hubs.”
