Starting July 1, the Baku Metro's Purple Line will transition to a summer schedule, according to the Baku Metro CJSC.
The Operative Information Center-OMM reports that train operations along the "Khojasan-8 Noyabr" route will be organized with an 8-minute interval in both directions.
Officials noted that there will be no changes to the interval for trains operating on the "Avtovağzal-8 Noyabr" section under the new summer schedule. The Baku Metro administration will conduct continuous monitoring of passenger traffic throughout this period. Should demand fluctuate or other operational needs arise, reserve trains will be deployed to maintain service efficiency.
The summer schedule for the Purple Line will remain in effect until the start of the new academic season in September, a standard practice for the Baku Metro to optimize resources during the summer months when passenger volume typically shifts due to holidays and academic breaks.
The Baku Metro, which serves as the primary rapid transit system in the capital of Azerbaijan, continues to modernize its infrastructure and expand its network to better serve the growing population of Baku.
