The Baku Metro’s operating schedule will change in connection with the Azerbaijan Formula 1 Grand Prix, which will be held in Baku.
The Baku Metro told the Operative Information Center-OMM that, in line with the plan for cultural and mass events, three stations — “Icherisheher,” “Sahil” and “28 May” — will operate under an enhanced regime from Sept. 24 to 26. Additional staff will be assigned to the stations according to duty rosters.
On the nights of Sept. 24-25 and Sept. 25-26, the three stations will remain open for passenger entry until 1 a.m.
Services on the Green and Purple lines will operate as usual, while the other stations on the Red Line will close at midnight.
The schedule adjustment is intended to facilitate passenger movement during the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, one of Baku’s major international sporting events, which attracts visitors and spectators to the capital.
