Bakıda yağışın fəsadları aradan qaldırılır: BŞİH-dən açıqlama

Baku City Executive Power, along with regional executive authorities and municipal utility services, has transitioned to an enhanced work regime starting from the morning of March 27 to mitigate the impact of heavy rainfall across the capital.

Operative Information Center-OMM reports that continuous precipitation over the past two days has led to drainage challenges, with some collectors struggling to manage the volume of surface water. In response, Ayaz Huseynov, Deputy Head of the Baku City Executive Power, conducted an on-site inspection of the affected areas and issued specific directives to relevant agencies to expedite the removal of rainwater and restore normal traffic flow.

Monitoring groups established for this purpose are currently identifying problematic zones and coordinating efforts with the Azerbaijan State Water Resources Agency. These teams are deploying specialized machinery and personnel to ensure that water accumulation is cleared from key infrastructure points and residential sectors throughout Baku.

Heavy seasonal rains in Azerbaijan's capital often necessitate rapid coordination between municipal services and water management authorities to prevent disruptions to the city's transport network. The State Water Resources Agency continues to modernize the capital's drainage and sewage systems as part of a broader urban infrastructure development plan aimed at improving the city's resilience to extreme weather events.
