The Coordination Council on Hunting has held its latest meeting and decided to open the hunting season on October 10.
“Operative Information Center-OMM” reports that Rashad Allahverdiyev, an official with the Biodiversity Conservation Service, announced the decision.
He said people wishing to hunt can find information on permitted wild animal and bird species, hunting periods and quotas in the “Announcements” section of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources’ official website, eco.gov.az.
“Hunting enthusiasts are urged to comply with the applicable hunting regulations and to use only hunting grounds and areas designated for hunting,” the official said.
Hunting seasons and quotas are set to regulate the use of wildlife and support conservation. Hunters in Azerbaijan are required to follow the rules and restrictions established by the relevant authorities.
