Azerbaijan's Minister of Youth and Sports, Farid Gayibov, participated in the international "Phygital Sports Summit Astana 2026" held in Astana, Kazakhstan.

During the summit, Minister Gayibov addressed a session titled "Shaping the Future of Phygital Sports: State, Policy, and Global Leadership." Following the session, attendees observed the official opening ceremony of the "Games of the Future."
During his visit, Farid Gayibov held bilateral meetings with Kazakhstan's Minister of Tourism and Sports, Yerbol Myrzabossynov, as well as Uzbekistan's Minister of Sports, Adkham Ikramov, to discuss strengthening regional ties in the sports sector.
Furthermore, the minister visited the Secretariat of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA). He met with Secretary General Kairat Sarybay to discuss the current state and future prospects of cooperation in the youth sector. Phygital sports, a hybrid of physical and digital activities, has gained significant global traction as a modern platform for youth engagement and international sports diplomacy.
