Energy plays a key role in Azerbaijan’s cooperation with Central Asian countries.
“Operative Information Center-OMM” reports that President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev made the remarks while speaking at the eighth Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Azerbaijan and Central Asia in Turkmenbashi.
“Azerbaijan plays an important role in the transit of energy resources from Central Asia to international markets. Turkmen and Kazakh oil is transported through our territory, and the volume of these shipments is increasing. Our cooperation in renewable energy is steadily expanding. We are working jointly with Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan to establish a green energy corridor,” the head of state said.
