A multinational joint special forces exercise, “Endless Brotherhood – V,” has been held with the participation of special forces from Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan and Türkiye.

The Ministry of Defense provided the information to the Operative Information Center-OMM.

It said Azerbaijani servicemen represented the country at the exercise in Uzbekistan, demonstrating a high level of combat readiness and professionalism.

The exercise aimed to strengthen security, stability and military cooperation in the region. Its main focus was on exchanging experience among the special forces units of the brotherly countries and improving their coordination in planning and conducting joint operations.

Under the exercise plan, participants carried out combat operations in mountainous terrain and settlements, infiltrated behind simulated enemy lines, conducted reconnaissance and search missions, seized key facilities, and freed hostages during counterterrorism operations. They also practiced protecting strategic facilities and firing various-caliber small arms, sniper rifles and special equipment by day and night.

Major General Alakbar Jahangirov, commander of Azerbaijan’s Special Forces, watched the final phase of the exercise alongside its leadership and highly praised the skills and readiness of the Azerbaijani special forces.

At the end of the joint exercise, a number of servicemen who distinguished themselves in carrying out their assigned tasks received awards, and participants took commemorative photographs.
