In connection with the implementation of the Law on Gas Supply, dated July 8, 2025, amendments are being introduced to the laws on State Duty and Energy. These legislative adjustments aim to harmonize existing regulations with the updated framework governing the gas sector in Azerbaijan.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the new Law on Gas Supply does not include provisions for issuing maps of gas facilities to customers upon payment of a state duty, unlike the previous law dated June 30, 1998, which has since been repealed. Consequently, Article 18.59 of the Law on State Duty is being abolished to reflect this change.

Simultaneously, the Law on Energy is undergoing technical adjustments to ensure terminological consistency across the legal framework. These updates are part of a broader effort by the Milli Majlis (National Assembly) to modernize the country's energy legislation, ensuring that administrative procedures remain transparent and aligned with current operational standards in the Republic of Azerbaijan.
