Nazirlər Kabinetinin silah ixracına nəzarət sahəsində səlahiyyəti ləğv edilib

The authority of the Cabinet of Ministers regarding the control of arms exports has been revoked following legislative updates in Azerbaijan.

According to Operative Information Center-OMM, this change is reflected in the amendments to the Law on Defense, which were officially approved by President Ilham Aliyev. Under the new regulations, the specific power of the Cabinet of Ministers to organize oversight over the export of weapons and strategic materials has been abolished.

The Law on Defense serves as the primary legal framework for Azerbaijan's national security and military policy, defining the powers of various state bodies in ensuring the country's sovereignty. These recent amendments are part of a broader effort to streamline administrative processes and optimize the management of the nation's defense industry and strategic resources. By redistributing or centralizing these oversight functions, the government aims to enhance the efficiency of international military-technical cooperation and ensure stricter compliance with national security protocols.
