Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov met with his Turkmen and Uzbek counterparts on the sidelines of the 7th Summit of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA), held in Baku.

“In line with the instructions of our leaders, I was pleased to hold a trilateral meeting in Baku on the sidelines of the 7th Summit of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia with my dear colleague and brother Rashid Meredov, Turkmenistan’s Foreign Minister, and Uzbekistan’s Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov.
We reaffirmed our determination to further strengthen the brotherly ties and strategic cooperation between our countries, based on shared history, mutual trust and common regional interests.
We discussed developing the trilateral cooperation format, expanding transport and transit links, strengthening cooperation in energy and trade, and making full use of the potential of regional and interregional transport corridors.
We emphasized the importance of sustained political dialogue, closer coordination and joint efforts to promote regional connectivity, economic development and stability,” the post said.
