The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan has announced that expired and unusable ammunition will be neutralized at the Pirakashkul training range, located near the settlement of Pirakashkul in the Absheron district. The disposal process is scheduled to take place from June 22 to June 25, in strict compliance with established safety protocols.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the Ministry of Defense has issued a public advisory regarding the scheduled operations. "We urge the public not to be alarmed by the sounds of explosions and emphasize that there is no cause for concern," the ministry stated in its official release.
The disposal of expired munitions is a routine procedure conducted by the Azerbaijani Armed Forces to ensure the safety of military personnel and the surrounding civilian population. These operations are essential for maintaining the operational readiness of the military while adhering to international safety standards for the handling and destruction of hazardous materials.
