Azerbaijan to chair Central Asia leaders’ meeting in 2027

Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov congratulated President Ilham Aliyev on Azerbaijan’s first chairmanship of the summit, saying it would give fresh impetus to cooperation with Central Asia.

Azerbaijan will chair the 2027 Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Azerbaijan and Central Asia.

Operative Information Center-OMM reports that Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov made the announcement at the eighth Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Azerbaijan and Central Asia in Avaza.

“Allow me to sincerely congratulate President Ilham Aliyev on Azerbaijan taking up the chairmanship of the Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Azerbaijan and Central Asia for the first time in 2027. I am confident that Azerbaijan’s chairmanship will give fresh impetus to our joint work and the development of mutually beneficial cooperation. The Kyrgyz Republic is ready to provide the necessary support and help ensure the successful implementation of Azerbaijan’s priorities during its chairmanship,” Japarov said.
