Azerbaijan has sent another shipment of humanitarian aid to Ukraine to help restore its energy infrastructure and prepare for the winter season.
The aid, provided by the Ministry of Energy, was prepared in line with an order signed by President Ilham Aliyev on Sept. 21, 2026. Formed in response to a request from Ukraine, the shipment includes cables, wires, transformers and other electrical equipment. Its total value is 2.5 million manats.
The humanitarian shipment left Sumgait Technology Park on Oct. 7.
Ukraine’s Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Yuriy Husyev, told journalists that the electrical equipment would be important to his country’s preparations for the winter season.
Husyev said Russian attacks had caused serious damage to Ukraine’s energy system, making the assistance particularly important.
Azerbaijan has previously sent humanitarian aid to Ukraine to support the restoration of electricity supplies. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has expressed gratitude for the assistance.
