As of September 1 this year, the number of unemployed people registered with local bodies of the State Employment Agency in Azerbaijan stood at 247,700.
"Operative Information Center-OMM" reports that the State Statistics Committee released the figures.
Women accounted for 53.1% of those registered. The average monthly unemployment insurance payment amounted to 478.7 manats.
Registration with employment authorities enables job seekers to access employment services and, where eligible, unemployment insurance benefits under Azerbaijan’s social protection system.
