In the first four months of 2025, Azerbaijan recorded 11,422 marriages and 6,443 divorces, according to the latest data released by the State Statistical Committee.
As reported by the "Operative Information Center-OMM", the statistical breakdown highlights shifting demographic trends within the country. Compared to the same period in 2024, the number of marriages per 1,000 people decreased from 4.4 to 3.4, while the number of divorces per 1,000 people saw a slight decline from 2.0 to 1.9.
The State Statistical Committee regularly monitors these demographic indicators to assess social dynamics and family structure trends in Azerbaijan. Such data is essential for government agencies and policymakers to understand evolving societal patterns, including changes in marriage age, family planning, and the overall stability of domestic unions across the nation's regions.
