Azerbaijan has brought in flu vaccines to help prevent the spread of influenza and other respiratory infections and strengthen preventive measures among the population.
The Health Ministry said this to Operative Information Center-OMM.
The ministry said the risk of acute respiratory viral infections, including seasonal flu, rises as temperatures fall in the autumn and winter months.
Under the health minister’s order on strengthening anti-epidemic measures against acute respiratory illnesses and conducting a flu vaccination campaign during the 2026–2027 autumn-winter season, seasonal flu vaccinations are scheduled to begin on October 21.
The Health Ministry urged the public to follow preventive measures against seasonal flu and take part actively in the vaccination campaign.
Flu vaccinations are free of charge and are administered at state medical facilities providing outpatient and polyclinic services in citizens’ places of residence or work, the ministry said.
