Azerbaijan Railways CJSC has announced that its passenger trains operating on the Baku-Gazakh-Baku, Baku-Agstafa-Baku (additional routes), Baku-Balakan-Baku, and Baku-Gabala-Baku lines will now make stops at the Darnagul station.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, which cited the joint-stock company, this adjustment is part of a broader effort to optimize rail transport services.
"Passengers traveling to the regions no longer need to travel to the Baku Railway Station or other distant stations to board their trains," the official statement noted.
This initiative is part of Azerbaijan Railways' ongoing modernization strategy to improve accessibility and passenger comfort across the national rail network. By integrating the Darnagul station into these regional routes, the operator seeks to reduce congestion at the central terminal and provide a more convenient transit point for residents in the northern and surrounding districts of the capital.
