The Milli Majlis (National Assembly) has approved at first reading a proposal to extend to the medical service the rules for awarding special ranks in the penitentiary service to citizens in the reserve of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces and reserve officers.
The Operative Information Center-OMM reported that amendments to the Law on Service in Justice Bodies were discussed at today’s plenary session of the parliament’s autumn session.
The proposed change would establish a unified legal approach to awarding special ranks to reserve military personnel appointed to posts in the medical service.
The amendments would include military personnel among medical service employees and define the institutions in which they serve. This would clarify the legal status of military personnel in the medical service and the legal basis for their work.
The draft was put to a vote after discussion and passed at first reading.
