On August 8 and 9, police officers in Azerbaijan successfully resolved 64 crimes recorded across the country, as well as 3 crimes that had remained unsolved from previous periods.
The press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) informed the Operative Information Center-OMM that a total of 63 individuals wanted by law enforcement were apprehended. This group included 30 individuals wanted as debtors, 17 people reported missing after leaving their homes without notifying family members, and 7 individuals wanted for fraud. All detainees have been handed over to the relevant authorities.
During the same period, law enforcement identified 28 cases related to narcotics. Authorities seized over 30.5 kilograms of illegal drugs and 52 potent methadone pills. Additionally, police uncovered 5 cases involving the illegal possession of firearms and ammunition. In Baku and various regions of Azerbaijan, officers confiscated one automatic rifle, four shotguns, one magazine, and 29 cartridges.
In total, 68 individuals suspected of committing criminal offenses were detained as a result of these coordinated police operations.
