Weather conditions are changing in Azerbaijan. Temperatures have fallen slightly compared with previous days. In Baku and on the Absheron Peninsula, the weather will be variably cloudy during the day, with brief rain expected in some areas.
“Operative Information Center-OMM”, citing the National Hydrometeorological Service, reports that the weather in the capital and on the Absheron Peninsula will be occasionally cloudy. Although generally dry weather is expected, brief rain is possible in some parts of the peninsula.
Temperatures in Baku to reach 26 degrees
Daytime temperatures in Baku and on the Absheron Peninsula are forecast to reach 23-26 degrees Celsius.
Atmospheric pressure will range between 761 and 766 millimeters of mercury, while relative humidity will be 60-70 percent.
Northwesterly winds will prevail across the country during the day. Wind speeds are expected to increase further in some areas.
Yellow and orange warnings issued over strong winds
The National Hydrometeorological Service has issued yellow and orange warnings for windy weather.
According to the forecast, wind speeds may reach 20-28 meters per second in some areas during the day.
People are advised to exercise caution in open areas and on streets during strong winds. As the wind may move various objects and construction materials, it is particularly important to stay away from areas where demolition and dismantling work is underway.
Temperatures in the regions to reach 34 degrees
Weather in the regions is also expected to be relatively cooler compared with previous days.
Most areas will remain mainly dry. However, brief showers of a torrential nature are possible in mountainous and foothill areas during the day.
Flooding is also forecast in rivers in mountainous areas.
Temperatures in the regions will vary between night and day, reaching 29-34 degrees Celsius during the day.
Cooler autumn weather already being felt
The change in weather is also bringing a noticeable autumn chill. Temperatures have fallen compared with previous days, and cooler conditions are particularly noticeable in the morning.
Although sunny intervals may be observed in Baku, the weather is not as hot as in previous days. Temperatures are expected to continue changing in line with seasonal conditions in the coming days.
