Amendments have been made to the "Service Package for Mandatory Health Insurance."
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, Prime Minister Ali Asadov has signed a decree to this effect.
Under the new decision, the State Agency for Mandatory Health Insurance will increase the annual limit for bone marrow or hematopoietic stem cell transplantations funded by the mandatory health insurance fund from 20 to 50 procedures.
This initiative represents a significant expansion of healthcare services available to citizens in Azerbaijan. By increasing the quota for these complex medical interventions, the government aims to improve access to life-saving treatments for patients suffering from blood disorders and other conditions requiring stem cell therapy. The State Agency for Mandatory Health Insurance continues to integrate advanced medical practices into the national healthcare system, ensuring that critical procedures are covered under the state-funded insurance framework.
