Today, Azerbaijan observed a one-minute silence in memory of all fallen soldiers who fought heroically in the Patriotic War and sacrificed their lives for the country’s territorial integrity.
“Operative Information Center-OMM” reports that traffic and pedestrian movement were halted across Azerbaijan.
At the same time, vehicles sounded their horns, while ships and surface trains blew their whistles.
The one-minute silence is a national remembrance practice honoring those who lost their lives defending Azerbaijan’s independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity. Such commemorations allow society to pay tribute to the fallen and preserve their memory for future generations.
