Azerbaijan and Liechtenstein will meet for the sixth time today in the group stage of the UEFA Nations League. Azerbaijan have won three of the previous five matches, one ended in a draw and Liechtenstein have won once.
Previous meetings
The teams first met in Vaduz in 1998 in the qualifying round for the European Championship. Liechtenstein won 2-1, recording its first victory in an official match.
Azerbaijan won 4-0 in the return fixture of the same qualifying campaign in 1999.
The teams met again in 2008 in qualifying for the 2010 World Cup. The match in Baku ended goalless, while Azerbaijan won 2-0 in Vaduz.
Their most recent meeting was a friendly in Dubai in 2013. Azerbaijan won 1-0.
The Group 2, League D match between Azerbaijan and Liechtenstein will kick off at 20:00 today at the Tofiq Bahramov Republican Stadium.
