The special quarantine regime in Azerbaijan has been extended.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that Prime Minister Ali Asadov signed a decision to this effect.
Under the decision, the special quarantine regime in Azerbaijan has been extended until 6 a.m. on Jan. 2, 2027, to prevent the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19) infection across the country and the possible consequences it may cause.
The special quarantine regime is a legal framework used by the Azerbaijani authorities to implement public health measures during the COVID-19 pandemic. It has previously been extended several times in line with the government’s efforts to contain the infection and mitigate related risks.
Previously, Azerbaijan had extended the special quarantine regime until 6 a.m. on Oct. 1, 2026.
