Prime Minister Ali Asadov has signed a decree extending the duration of salary supplements for medical workers providing outpatient services to patients infected with the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) at special medical centers under the Baku City Main Health Department.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the decision ensures that the additional payments to healthcare professionals will remain in effect until April 1, 2026. Under the previous regulation, the deadline for these bonuses was set for January 1, 2026.
The extension of these financial incentives reflects the ongoing commitment of the Cabinet of Ministers to support healthcare personnel in Azerbaijan. Since the onset of the pandemic, the government has implemented various social protection measures and financial packages to strengthen the national healthcare system and ensure the welfare of frontline workers. These measures are part of a broader strategy to maintain public health readiness and recognize the essential role of medical staff in the capital and across the Republic of Azerbaijan.
