The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan has extended its official congratulations to the Kingdom of Sweden on the occasion of its National Day.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the ministry shared a formal message via its official account on the X social network.
"We extend our sincere congratulations to the government and people of the Kingdom of Sweden on the occasion of their National Day," the statement read.
Sweden's National Day, celebrated annually on June 6, commemorates the election of Gustav Vasa as King of Sweden in 1523, an event that marked the beginning of modern Sweden. Diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and Sweden have steadily developed over the years, with both nations engaging in cooperation across various sectors, including political dialogue, economic partnerships, and cultural exchanges, reflecting a mutual commitment to strengthening bilateral ties.
