The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan has extended its official congratulations to the Republic of Italy on the occasion of its National Day.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the Ministry shared a congratulatory post on its official "X" (formerly Twitter) social media account, marking the diplomatic milestone.
Italy and Azerbaijan maintain a robust strategic partnership, characterized by strong cooperation in the energy sector, cultural exchanges, and political dialogue. As one of Azerbaijan's primary trade partners in Europe, Italy plays a significant role in the country's economic landscape, particularly through energy security initiatives and infrastructure projects. The National Day, or Festa della Repubblica, commemorates the 1946 institutional referendum in which the Italian people voted to abolish the monarchy and establish a republic.
